After listening to the owners of Gainlight Studios, it got me thinking about missed opportunities or not taking advantage of things that come my way. It was so inspirational to me. We all may have goals that seem out of reach or are "just dreams". But who's to say that those things just have to be dreams.
All of the people working in those "dream jobs" started out in the same position as we are. I know my dream is to work for marketing/communicatons in a well-known, possibly high end fashion department like Burberry or Michael Kors. This is one of the reasons I want to move to a large city to be closer to opportunities like that.
What are your ultimate dream jobs??
It was really inspirational to me too! I enjoyed their presentation a lot and it really got me thinking as well. My dream job would be to work in marketing for an NHL team. I am planning to move back home when I graduate and I have some connections, my dads best friend owns the Edmonton Oilers so I would be able to connect with him or other people working there but it would require me to move to Edmonton if I wanted to work for them. Lots of big life decisions coming up its so stressful!
ReplyDeleteI also really enjoyed their speech too! I actually have come up with 2 dream jobs I would love to have. The first would be to work for the Nashville Area Convention and Visitors Bureau! This came to me after working at my internship and also I went to visit Nashville with my mom for my 21st birthday. I loved that city and would move their in a heartbeat!
ReplyDelete2nd would easily be a wedding/event planner. I would actually really like to start my own business! Maybe right out of school....? lol
These are awesome dreams! I hope you enthusiastically pursue them. I'm lucky enough to be doing what I love and it's just as "they" say, "do what you love and you'll never work a day in your life."
