I started just going to Starbucks over in campus town, but there is hardly any space at all in there. Then i tried going to Barnes & Noble, but there is literally ONE outlet in the entire sitting area...really??
My friend introduced me to Thirty-Thirty Coffee Co. It's only about 5 minutes away from campus down Main St. It's the cutest coffee shop. Plenty of seating and outlets everywhere so its perfect for studying. Lots of coffee choices to allow me to be motivated to study (because nothing gets done without a yummy caffeinated drink). Have any of you been there and what are your thoughts?? Do you have suggestions on places to go study outside of campus??
Our skinny vanilla lattes at Thirty-Thirty Coffee Co. So cute!
I had the same problem...like getting into the swing of things as far as school goes and honestly...I am still trying! lol But I really am starting to get into coffee because I am trying to wake up early and be productive. Anyways, in response to your question about Thirty-Thirty...I work at the Peoria Area Convention and Visitor's Bureau and they are a member of ours. In short, people LOVE Thirty-Thirty Coffee :) I asked on our Facebook what was peoples favorite place to go in Peoria and Thirty-Thirty came back as #1!
ReplyDeleteI have the same problem. I cant study at home, always getting distracted by the TV or my roommates and I really dont like going to the library. I always try the Starbucks in campus town and like you said its always packed. I've been going to Panera a lot lately, it's usually not very busy week day mornings and I love their hazlenut flavoured coffee! I've never heard of thirty thiry but I think I will have to try it out sometime. Its closer then panera and those skinny vanilla lattes look delish!
ReplyDeleteI think you would really like the place!! Maybe we can take a class outing there for a study session or something since there's only 9 of us!
ReplyDeleteMy friend told me this place was great and about the hearts in the lattes! I didn't think they actually did it! I'm going to try it out after this review, I need a new place to study that ISN'T Cullom Davis! -Kristina
ReplyDeleteLack of studying places is one of the worst parts of Bradley's campus. Especially with the new Student Center renovations, there are only a handful of quiet spots to get any work done. The bad part for me is that I don't have a car at Bradley. Anybody know any good places that are within walking distance from campus. I'm assuming you have to drive to this coffee shop...
ReplyDeleteThere is a new coffee shop that is in the spot where Running Central used to be on Main Street. That makes it slightly closer to campus, and definitely walkable, Sam. I don't know anything about the coffee, the outlets, etc., but if you want another option...
ReplyDeleteI haven't really studied much anywhere that isn't my apartment/the library (though once one of my English classes met in Starbucks. How cool is that) because I'm too afraid I'll spend all my money on food/drinks I shouldn't be having. When I'm stuck at home I have carrots and green tea instead of hot chocolate and pastries.
ReplyDeleteI need some self control, haha
